I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
